2025 Lori Canova Leadership & Recognition Award
Who is eligible? Nominees should be active or recent volunteers with "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County (IHDF) who served for a minimum of 1 year; including having been active during the current year, as well as the previous year, for a total of at least 1 year. We want to acknowledge volunteers who have made an outstanding and impactful contribution to the organization, by helping to advance its mission to empower under-resourced children to succeed in school, post-secondary education and in their careers.
Established in 2020 and named in honor of the legacy of IHDF’s former CEO/ED, Lori Canova, who provided leadership to the organization for 23 years before retiring in 2020. Lori developed the volunteer program from ten volunteers to over 500 by the end of her tenure. The first award was presented in 2023. The award is presented annually to an exceptional “I Have A Dream” volunteer selected by a committee comprised of IHDF staff, a Dreamer Alum, Dreamer Parent, Board Member, and a community member, following the submission of nominations through an open nomination process.
