High school students build Little Free Libraries for Boulder housing sites

About a dozen high school students spent the weekend designing and building Little Free Libraries for two Boulder Housing Partners sites in north Boulder.

The students, who are in the “I Have A Dream” Foundation of Boulder County’s Phoenix class, applied to participate in the paid apprenticeship program at the Boulder Public Library’s makerspace, BLDG 61.

“I was excited to bring these books to anyone who needs them and isn’t close to the library,” said Boulder High sophomore Jeronimo Palacios. “I love how they turned out.”
